This open plan island getaway is filled with elements of casual character. Shiplap walls and exposed beams provide a soft textural background for the salvaged doors and windows. The clients biggest request was for an uncomplicated vacation home; a simple and tranquil space that is the opposite of their Monday to Friday city life. The soft palette was informed by the natural surroundings, and allows the vibrance of the ocean, mountains and surrounding flora to dominate.
